What moved the market
Gold climbed back above $4,430 after a softer ADP employment print pulled Treasury yields lower and gave the metal room to recover from Tuesday’s sell-off. The rebound was orderly, with buyers stepping in at the $4,380 support we flagged in the previous update.
What decides the direction
Two things: the geopolitical premium around the Strait of Hormuz, which keeps a floor under the price, and Friday’s non-farm payrolls, which will set the tone for rate expectations. A weak print opens the path to $4,500; a strong one likely sends gold back to retest $4,380.
How Infinity is positioned
Sequences stay active in the $4,380–$4,480 range. We reduce exposure into the NFP release and reopen once the first hour of volatility is behind us.
