Connecting to the strategy
How a subscription works in CopyFX: the copying modes, the coefficient that sets your risk, and the performance fee the platform settles for you.

Step three: a permission to copy, nothing more
The connection between your account and the strategy is called a subscription. Once it is active, the platform copies the strategy’s operations into your account. It is created and cancelled by you, in your own Members Area, and it grants exactly one thing: the right for the strategy’s trades to be mirrored. It does not give us your login, and it does not let us do anything in your account beyond what the copy engine does on every subscriber’s account at once.
Finding the strategy
In the Members Area, open the copy trading section and search for the strategy by name: Infinity, Falco Excalibur or Mr. Enzo. Each strategy page on this site gives the exact strategy name and links to its verified Myfxbook record. Confirm the name matches character for character before subscribing. A lookalike name is the easiest scam to set up and the easiest to catch.
Select the trading account you opened in lesson two, confirm it is a MetaTrader 5 account with at least the strategy’s minimum deposit, and open the subscription form. If a strategy uses the by-request mode, the subscription starts once the request is approved, and until then nothing is copied.
Copying modes, and which one to use
The subscription form asks how copied trades should be sized. CopyFX offers three modes:
- Proportional. Each trade is scaled by the ratio between your equity and the strategy’s at the moment it is copied, multiplied by a coefficient you set. The broker’s formula is: copied volume = coefficient × strategy volume × (your equity ÷ strategy equity).
- Classic. The strategy’s exact lot size multiplied by a multiplier you set, ignoring the size of either account.
- Fixed. Every trade is copied at one fixed lot size, whatever the strategy does.
Use proportional with a coefficient of 1.00. It is the only mode in which your account carries the same risk per trade, as a percentage, as the strategy’s own account, and therefore the only mode in which the track record describes what you should expect. A coefficient of 2.00 doubles every position and every drawdown. Classic and fixed modes break the link between the strategy’s sizing rule and your account size entirely, and on a small account they can produce positions the strategy would never take.
The form also offers round down the copied volume. With it on, 0.119 lot becomes 0.11, and a volume too small for the minimum is skipped rather than rounded up to 0.01. Leave it on. Rounding up is the one direction that can put more risk in your account than the strategy has in its own.
The fee, and who moves the money
Our income is a performance fee: a share of the profit the copied trades make in your account, and nothing else. There is no subscription fee, no management fee, no charge on a losing period. The share and the settlement period are shown on the subscription form before you confirm.
Three mechanics matter:
- The platform calculates and transfers it. At the end of each investment period, the fee on that period’s profit is deducted from your account and transferred to the strategy account by CopyFX. It is never a payment you send to us, and we have no way to request one. If anyone asks you to pay Infinity directly, they are not Infinity.
- The high-water mark. The fee is charged only on new profit above the previous highest level. After a losing period, no fee is due until the account has recovered past its earlier peak. You never pay twice for the same gain.
- Reserved profit. During a period, the platform holds back the part of the profit that will become the fee. You will see it as an amount you cannot withdraw until settlement. If you cancel the subscription mid-period, the fee on the profit to that point is calculated and settled at cancellation.
Confirm, then check
Confirm the subscription and open the Investments page. It should show the strategy, your account, the mode and coefficient, and the status active. Nothing is copied until the strategy opens a new trade after this moment. Positions the strategy already holds are not copied retroactively. Depending on the strategy, the first copied trade may appear within hours or take days. That is normal, and the next lesson covers what to expect once it does.
